Tom Brighton was part of Rangers' Murray Park youth system. He spent a few games on loan to English League side Scunthorpe during the 2004-2005 season and at the end of that season he broke his ties completely with Rangers and signed for Clyde.

He impressed so much in his season with Clyde that come the summer of 2006 English side Millwall enticed the forward south of the border.

Injury blighted Brighton's time at The New Den and when he did get back to full fitness he found himself well down the pecking order.

During the summer of 2008 Tom signed a two year deal with Saints, a move he saw as a big opportunity to get his career back on track again.

Unfortunately just as it was looking as if Tom was hitting a good bit of form he suffered a season ending injury in a Clydesdale Bank Premier League match against Motherwell on October 24th.

The following table shows the player's St Mirren related stats across all competitive games in the following competitions; SPL, SFL First Division, Scottish Cup, League Cup and Challenge Cup.
