Former Wolves, Burnley, Celtic and Derby County full-back Mohammed 'Mo' Camara signed for St Mirren on February 12th, 2009 until the end of last season with an option for a further year taken up at the start of this term.

Camara started his career in 1993 with French side Beauvais. He would go on to make 79 appearances as well as a loan spell with Troyes before making a move to Le Havre in 1997.

Despite being at Le Harve until 2000, Camara only made 16 appearances for the Ligue 2 side but he did have two spells out on loan to Lille in season 1998-1999 and 1999-2000.

The year 2000 brought Camara over the English Channel to Wolves when Le Havre accepted a £100,000 bid for the player from the Midlands club. In his first two seasons at Molineux he accumulated 45 appearances but his final season at the club a knee ligament injury kept him out of the picture.

At the end of the 2002-2003 season the man from Guinea moved to Lancashire and Burnley. His performances at Turf Moor convinced Celtic to sign him during the summer of 2005 where the new season started well for him but as it progressed he was forced further down the pecking order and was released the following summer to join Derby County.

Between the summer of 2006 and Camara's release from County on February 2nd, he made 21 appearances for the Pride Park side as well being on loan to Norwich City throughout the 2007-2008 season and to Blackpool for the first four months of last season.

Camara has been capped 79 times for Guinea.
