Jack Ross was a major player in Falkirk's great success over recent seasons so it was a major coup for Saints manager Gus MacPherson to snatch away the Bairns captain and bring him to St Mirren on a two year deal on May 31st, 2008.
Jack started his career with Clyde where he played alongside present Saints player John Potter and Saints assistant manager Andy Millen.
At the end of the 2003-2004 season he headed south of the border to ply his trade with Hartlepool but a year later he was back north playing for John Hughes' Falkirk side. The Bairns went on to win the First Division Championship and the Challenge Cup in Ross' first season with them - and the following season he was instrumental in the Bairns first season of survival in the SPL.
Ross made a big impression on the St Mirren fans in his debut season as a Buddie last term, going on to be very much a fans' favourite. So much so he picked up the majority of the supporters' clubs' player of the year awards, including the Official Website's.
The defender was also capped at 'B' level for Scotland last season in a friendly against Northern Ireland.
Jack is presently out of action after damaging ankle ligaments in the Active Nation Scottish Cup, 5th Round replay against Rangers at Ibrox Stadium on February 17th.
The following table shows the player's St Mirren related stats across all competitive games in the following competitions; SPL, SFL First Division, Scottish Cup, League Cup and Challenge Cup.
