Presently St Mirren's longest serving player, Hugh Murray made his debut for Saints on August 2nd, 1997 against Airdrieonians.
An inductee of the St Mirren 'Hall of Fame', Hugh was also awarded a Testimonial Season in 2007-2008 which climaxed with a match against then FA Premiership side Derby County on September 6th which Saints won 1-0.
The midfielder is also the most successful St Mirren player in Club history as he has won three winners medals in domestic tournaments - two Scottish Football League First Division Winner's medals (1999-2000 & 2005-2006) and one for being part of the side who won the Bell's League Challenge Cup (2005-2006).
Has been capped at both Under 16 and Under 21 level for Scotland, and towards the end of last season Hugh agreed a new deal that will see him further his career with Saints until the summer of 2011.
Hugh made his 400th career appearance for Saints in a SPL match against Rangers on November 7th 2009.
The midfielder now also holds the record for most league appearances for St Mirren - Hugh overtook Tony Fitzpatrick's record of 351 league appearances on December 12th 2009 as he made his 352nd in a SPL match against Falkirk.
