Aaron Mooy put pen to paper on a deal with St Mirren on October 22nd 2010 after Saints had agreed compensation terms with Bolton Wanderers.

The deal will see Aaron ply his trade with St Mirren until the end of this season with the Club having the option of extending his deal by a further season.

The attacking midfielder had been on trial with the Club and had impressed in bounce games which convinced Danny Lennon to sign the youngster.

Mooy came to the UK and went through the youth system of Bolton Wanderers but when offered a full-time contract in the summer he rejected it as he was looking to play regular first team football.

The native of Sydney, Australia, represented his country in the 2009 FIFA Under-20 World Cup which was held in Egypt. Mooy played in the 3-0 defeat against Costa Rica and he opened the scoring in the tie against Brazil although the young Socceroos went down 3-1.

Aaron is Australian born and bred but he also holds a Dutch passport which qualifies him to play in the leagues in Europe.
