Paul signed for St Mirren in the summer of 2009 from First Division side Dunfermline.
Football life for the keeper started with Dundee United in 1997 where he would be for the next 7 seasons - bar a short loan spell to Airdrieonians - when he signed for English League side Norwich City.
First team starts weren't coming as regularly as Paul would have liked so he found himself out on loan to Gillingham, Sheffield Wednesday and Dunfermline who he eventually joined in 2007.
Paul was an ever-present last season for Saints until the second last game of the campaign when understudy Mark Howard was given a run-out.
He has been capped 8 times to date for Scotland and got a squad recall last season for the away game against Wales.
The following table shows the player's St Mirren related stats across all competitive games in the following competitions; SPL, SFL First Division, Scottish Cup, League Cup and Challenge Cup.
