U19: St Mirren 0-2 Motherwell
A goal in either half from Motherwell earned them all three points as they came up against St Mirren Under 19's in a Clydesdale Bank Under 19 League fixture at McKenna Park this afternoon.
In a pretty even first half St Mirren had a great chance to open the scoring but it was squandered by Joel Kasubandi and Graeme Ramage.
Motherwell took full advantage of the miss by securing the points with a goal in either half.
David Longwell, Head of Youth Development, said after the game: "We did pretty well in the first half but we were poor in the second half as we didn't defend well and our strikers didn't link up as you would expect.
"Overall it has been a disappointing week with this result and being knocked out the SFA Youth Cup so we'll be looking for a big improvement in our league game next Friday against St Johnstone."
