John Gibb - a life-long St Mirren fan - is taking part in the Sponsored Artemis 100 Highland Bike Ride tomorrow, from Kenmore to Killin in order to raise money for Childrens Hospice Association Scotland (CHAS) and Cancer Research.

John, who is also a volunteer speaker for CHAS, said "It is a challenging task but it is for two really good charities and we would appreciate every little bit of sponsorship.

"It is a long time since I have been on a bike and the training has come as a bit of a challenge.

"We have a team of six doing it - 'The Chain Gang' - and between us we will be covering the Gold, Silver and Bronze routes.

"We aim to raise between £2,500 and £3,000 which will be split between the two charities."
