St Mirren Under 19's lost out in a penalty shoot-out to Annbank United after drawing 1-1 yesterday afternoon in their semi-final of the Jim Baird Memorial Tournament at Rosebank Park.

David Longwell said of the game, "It was a disappointing first half performance from the boys but they showed a big improvement in the second half.

"This was a big learning curve for a lot of the younger players which the whole team will learn from.

"We must give credit to Annbank for their work ethic and how difficult they made it for our players but it was a really good pre-season workout for our boys.

"I'm sure the boys will learn from yesterday and put on a good perfromance in today's 3rd/4th place match against Lugar Boswell Thistle."

The 3rd/4th place match against Lugar Boswell Thistle at Rosebank Park will kick-off at 12:30pm with the final between Annbank United and Hurlford United kicking-off at 2:45pm.

Gate prices for today will be £5.
