U19: St Mirren 1-0 Hearts
The St Mirren Under 19 side kept their recent run of victories going this afternoon with a 1-0 win against Hearts at McKenna Park.
The only goal of the game came midway through the first half when a great delivery from Sean Burns found its way to Conor Ramsay who then went on to complete the move with a really good finish.
Overall it was a close game but St Mirren did have good chances to close the game out in the second half but while that didn't happen the youngsters defended well and dug in to secure another valuable 3 points.
St Mirren line-up: Cunningham, McLennan, Love, McKernon, Gray, Devlin, Team, Faulds, McShane, Ramsay, Burns
Subs: Ramage, Lamont, Kennedy.
David Longwell (St Mirren's Head of Youth Development) said after the game: "The boys again showed a terrific attitude and work ethic today.
"It was a hard fought win but at the end of the day a deserved win.
"The boys are doing really well just now and now go on to face another tough match this Monday night against Airdrie United in the SFA Youth Cup."
