U19: St Mirren 3-0 Ross County
St Mirren's Under 19 side won through to the quarter-final stage of the SFA Youth Cup this afternoon thanks to a 3-0 victory against Ross County at St Mirren Park.
A first half goal from Jon McShane was followed by scores from Jamie McKernon and Kenny McLean in the second half.
David Longwell (St Mirren's Head of Youth Development) said after the game: "I felt the boys started the game really well and after 30 minutes or so should have been well ahead but they couldn't take the chances they created and had to settle for a one-nil lead at half-time.
"Like the first half, we dominated in the second half and went on to win pretty comfortably."
