U19: St Mirren 3-2 Hibernian
St Mirren's Under 19 side snatched a deserved three points with a stoppage time clincher this afternoon as they ran up 3-2 winners against Hibernian at McKenna Park.
Kenny McLean fired Saints into the lead on the 8 minute mark, a lead which held until 4 minutes before half-time when the Hibees squared things up.
Seven minutes into the second half Saints took the lead again when Dominic Kennedy scored from a corner-kick and it looked as if that would be enough to seal the victory but right on the stroke of the 90th minute the Edinburgh side pulled level again.
Saints pushed hard for the decisive goal and just as we moved into the 3rd minute of stoppage time their just rewards came when young Bradley Coyne netted the winner.
David Longwell (St Mirren's Head of Youth Development) said after the game: "It was a really good team performance and the boys more than deserved their win today.
"At times they played really well and always looked capable of creating chances so it was pleasing that the boys got the result they deserved."
