U19: St Mirren 5-2 Motherwell
This afternoon the Under 19 side came back from being two goals down at half-time to rack up a 5-2 victory against Motherwell at McKenna Park.
The young Saints had a poor first half going into the interval 2-0 down but a second half fight-back with goals from Rhyss Devlin, Fraser Team and Conor Ramsay along with a brace from Sean Burns was enough for them to notch up the victory.
David Longwell (St Mirren's Head of Youth Development) said after the game: "We were very poor in the first half, our performance was lacking hence we went into half-time 2-0 down.
"There was a big improvement in the performance, attitude and work ethic in the second half.
"It was a very good reaction from the boys to come from two goals down to win 5-2.
"I was really pleased with the second half performance and the finishing in some of the goals."
The Under 19's next outing will be on Sunday, November 8th when they will face Alloa Athletic at St Mirren Park in the 3rd round of the SFA Youth Cup.
Kick-off will be at 1:00pm and entry to the game will be free of charge.
