On Friday afternoon the Under 19 side came back from being a goal down twice to win 4-2 against their Falkirk counterparts at Stirling University.

Blair Alston fired the home side into the lead on the 21st minute but 2 minutes later Saints were back on level terms thanks to Jon McShane forcing the ball home from close range.

Falkirk took the lead again on the 49th minute through Joe McCafferty but 16 minutes later substitute Fraser Team fired home a daisy cutter that pulled Saints level again.

On the 75 minute mark substitute Kyle Faulds fired Saints into the lead then 8 minutes later Team got himself on the scoresheet again with a scorching shot from just outside the penalty-box.

David Longwell (St Mirren's Head of Youth Development) said after the game: "The boys showed a lot of character to come back from being a goal down twice in the game.

"Overall it was a really good team performance and it was a result that we thoroughly deserved."
