Miranda Leaves Saints
The Club have confirmed this morning that Franco Miranda won't be returning to St Mirren from Argentina.
The defender was injured over the last quarter of last season then he returned to Argentina at the season's end to recuperate and hopefully prepare himself for a return to St Mirren. Manager Gus MacPherson had made it known to the player that he would like him back with St Mirren on a more permanent basis.
Miranda came to St Mirren on loan during the summer of 2007 from Argentine side CAI, that loan was extended for last season.
In his time with Saints Franco became a firm fans' favourite as he racked up 52 first team appearances, scoring 4 goals in the process.
Interview with manager Gus MacPherson to follow.
